Heroes

"If I want to talk about Yemen, then I must remember the people who made the great Yemen .Who suffered and paid their souls. They sacrificed every thing for the sake of the thing they love . They sacrificed the most Precious thing they had "THEIR LIFE" . They had dream .therefore , they did all they could to achieve it . They dreamed of better life , better country ,better situations . They dreamed to see Yemen on the top.
Many of them inspire us to continue walking in the path to arrive to the goal.
One of the best is "Mohammed Mahmood Al -Zubairi " he started fighting against tyranny with his words.Yes he died but his words still alive ,still inspires us until this moment . He had been in jail  and he had torture all that didn't stop him from trying to reach the freedom. At the end he did it , he got the freedom and achieved what he dreamed of.The same with us, we should fight until we get we want and we shouldn't let the enemies destroy what the heroes built and suffer for .
Another example is "Al-Baradony" .He is a poet and literary critic and historian . Had been an advocate of Republic instead of  monarchy for that he had been to jail.However, he didn't stop until he got his freedom too .
What we understand from all this that we have to fight an work hard to achieve what we want, to see our country on the top , to bring the great Yemen back . And even the situations are very complicated we can do it . And after the the dark night comes dawn .What we have to do is believing in Allah and he will inspire us and give us the ability to take our freedom back.It worth it .

Pain

 I threw my words to the world

`The world paralyzed my words

My words refused to move

Actually they couldn't move

I asked them"why?"

They started to cry

I tried to stop them and tried

I wondered why

I raised my eyes to the sky

I saw my words ,they fly

trying to tell me something

they drew a line after a line

The word was "PAIN"

That's what stops us they say

the world is full of pain

tears,less care

 fight ,kill ,scare

I stopped them suddenly and say

Calm down , 

With out you I can't live

You are the hope for this world

Don't let us down

You are our weapons

You sedate our pain 

So don't surrender 

and cause us failure 

Fight with us 

Together we can go through

all the pain that flow 

" The Woman Who Disappeared "

"The Woman Who Disappeared" is a detective story written by Philip Prowse . It was published in 1975 and this edition was published in 1992.

This story begins when a beautiful woman called Helen Garfield comes to a private detective and asks him to find her sister who was disappeared since two weeks ago, Elaine Garfield .It's not much fun being a private eye. This detective Lenny Samuel, attractive tall man with brown eyes and hair, faces a lot of troubles caused by this case. His office is on the west side of Los Angeles, on the forty floor of a high building. Helen doesn't want him to have contact with the police and she doesn't want to say why. Lenny starts with the investigation and visits the missing woman's apartment . There was nobody at home so he opened the door and walked in. He saw that most of her clothes were gone and that's not normal when people disappear .When he was about leaving the place, two men attacked him and told him to stop working on this case he fell on the ground senselessly. He thought that this case is an easy disappearing case like the other cases he worked on ,but not anymore.However,he decided to continue.
The Next day, he went to Myer and Myer, the place where Elaine works.He started asking everyone about her.He knew from Suzy , Elaine's colleague, that  Elaine was seeing a guy called Benny Greep . They used to hang out at Las Cabanas Club ,so he went there.He found out that Benny is drummer of a band and he is Elaine's boyfriend . The cleaner who works at the club gave Lenny Benny's address.
The detective arrived to Benny's apartment nobody was there. The place was very quiet and the door was opened so he got in .He saw something He was shocked ... a died man lying in the bathroom .It's Benny , the clue he needed for his case had disappeared ,too .He called the police .The police arrested him for murdering Benny Greep . He told the sergeant that he is a detective and explained the whole case for him ,so  he allowed him to go . The police started investigating  the case.
After few weeks He starts to collect all the information that he get, and finally conclude that Elaine is not disappeared. Helen is Elaine then, he asks her to tell the truth. Helen confesses she is truly Elain. She does it because she wanted to save her life several weeks ago, she and her boyfriend Benny Greep  went to Las Cabanas Club. There, they listened to a conversation between Jo and his friend who were stealing   jewelries and diamonds. Benny suggested to steal those jewelries, and they did it. Jo and friend knew about it. They killed Benny and looked for Elaine. Elaine was so afraid. She decided to hide herself and show as Helen, Elaine’s twins. Then she went to Lenny and asked him to find herself.
The story ends at the same moment the criminals try to get the bag back they are arrested. Poor Lenny, he has not paid for all his efforts because Elaine has no money after returning the bag with the jewelries .

In fact ,I really like this story because it has the sense of mystery .What impressed me is the way that the woman thought .She deceived everyone and nobody doubted .The language is easy  ,the writer  used simple words and  the way of telling the story is very interesting . Also I admired Lenny 's  intelligence and perseverance . I think that this story has message for people it says that when we do something, we have to get ready to get the impact.

3. Mr. Myer : a man who was about fifty – five years old, has a grey hair and face.
4. Jo : one of the bandit, a short man and has a red-hair.
5. Suzy Graham : Elaine’s partner, a small and slim girl, and had a pair of beautiful brown eyes, nice girl.
6. Benny Greep : drummer of a band, Elaine’s boyfriend, handsome boy, and had quite long black hair.
7. Sergeant Murphy : a policeman, bold, he was about fifty-five years old.

Reflection

Having started a new term with a new teacher ,  teacher Waseem  is training us to study online .In the first week of this term I'm gaining confidence to express and raise what I have . We practiced on critical thinking , giving reasons  and supporting our ideas . I've learned how to know the parts of speech by suffixes . The teacher talked about speed reading skill and he showed us how to speed our reading . We had the reading part , the listening and the grammar in our book.Also,We learned new vocabularies .The most interesting part was the discussions we had , especially the last case with the McDonald's issue . The teacher is trying to help us with our writing problems by giving us free writing . He shows us a video or a song ,after that we have to write a bout it .Although I had to write about "globalization" ,the topic I hate, I really enjoyed the new experiance . To be honest , that helps me a lot to express and write .I have good time with my classmates  ,we learn from each other and have fun.

Globalization

                    Globalization is a really widespread topic. There are millions of definitions, opinions, organizations and perspectives because it concerns the whole world . The international economic system is being changed , cultures are being spread and a homogeneous world is being created by globalization . All these waves of changes concern the whole world and cause a huge controversial .When I first read about it , that put me in a dilemma because it  influences everything around us .But I believe that we get benefits from it . While globalization is thought of by many as having the potential to make societies richer through trade and to bring knowledge and information to people around the world, there are many others who perceive globalization as contributing to the exploitation of the poor by the rich, and as a threat to traditional cultures as the process of modernization changes societies.  There are heated debates about globalization and its positive and negative effects.

                   First of all, it has been claimed that globalization provides the increasing of productivity and life standard of societies. To begin with productivity is indeed increased as it can be seen that the population of the world is rising rapidly even uncontrollable and more people means that there is a need of more product too. Thus Globalization responds the needs of 7 billion people. Moreover the standards of life is a lot better than 50 years ago as they are more machines and systems invented in developed countries supporting all world. However there is another side of the facts. Globalization causes the poor citizens having more requirements.In the past, Greek culture spread across Africa, Europe and Asia through Alexander the Great. This is the reason there are cities named for Alexander in Africa, Egypt and Turkey. The Silk Road was a trade route between China and the Mediterranean Sea area and it allowed the exchange of not only goods, but culture and knowledge. All that causes the overdeveloped world that we are living in .

                  The problem is that globalization is capitalistic and so are negative effects as well. First there are all this big transnational concerns that gain more and more influence. The objective, of course, is to raise the profit of the company. The price that has to be paid to reach by the exploitation of the environment   and of poor countries. The most important disadvantage of globalization is the increasing number of the poor people . After the industrial revolution  ,  some countries became a power in industry. However production decreased and so unemployment was raised in the other countries.. As stated at Wikipedia, many workers found themselves suddenly unemployed , they could no longer compete with machines which only required limited work to produce more product than a single worker.
Another major damage of globalization is that some cultures are getting lost. The cultures of the countries that have more economic power are more dominant than others .Although commentator Andrew Lam says that Globalization s not Americanization and America itself starts to change, there are many American thoughts and customs spreading around the world. Because, wealthy countries produce many things that can affect cultures, for example, clothes, movies and technology products. . Therefore, globalization damages small cultures which are in risk of being extinct.

                Over all, I believe that everything on this world has pros and cons 
And I’m sure that if there was no globalization, we wouldn’t live this overdeveloped world . But we still have to fight the bad side of globalization and try to rescue our identities by saving our traditions and old customs. At the same time we get benefits from the huge wave of communications, information and thoughts  .
 
 
 
 

Humanity

                       If a person is going through bad situations ,he needs help and support from people around him. Imagine his feeling when everyone is ignoring him and abandon him. Actually that’s hard if we just thought about it . How about living it every day?!!
People around the world are suffering   , dying because of hunger or diseases and trying to survive. They keep shouting and asking people for help , but nobody replies . They are calling humanity that seems to be vanished these days . We keep hearing about them ,starring at their picture without doing anything to help them . This is what causes more disasters and problems around the world . We ignore what’s happening around us and pretend that’s a usual new day . If we continue this way , the whole world will be a big ball fall of troubles . So the solution is that we stand together and help each other to survive and live in peace.

Nostalgia

                    The strongest and the most unbreakable connection is the connection that exist inside hearts  . That special deep feeling can control the person's life, make them stronger or even change them completely . The happiness of a lover depends on the person he love but when his lover changes , his life changes ,too. He starts recalling the moments that they spent together . he feels that his life is gone . He doesn't have a reason to live or his life lost the taste. He tries to get that moments back by remanding his lover as the song imply.He is telling her  that he miss their little talks . This song has a strong idea it says ''people might disappear or change but real feelings last forever ''

Solutions

We're going through hard time here in Yemen . There is such deep problems damaging our country . Starting with the ex government , foreign and next door countries ,the different parities ,Hothees tribs and terrorists.

Actually the root of all these problems is education . So the new government should take this seriously. There is a big problem that is digging and polluting everything around us , it's corruption . Corruption is related to everything .For example , there is a huge corruption in the media in general . People who are controlling the media are responsible for all the fear that is spreading widly between people . Also security is missing these days . It's should be the first priority in the priorities list . This could be done by enforcing the law and punishment system . About the tribs, the government should give them our their rights not to terminat them because this is too hard . They should try to earn their support because they are very important part of the country .The electricity stations should be protracted from terrorists and ignorant people by providing the stations with very good armed solders . The security should have a devices and monitors that have the ability to bare weapons and detonations .

Fresh start

I've started a new course at Yali with a strong desire to learn and work more than before. I arrived in the morning looking for my friends.My classmates are still the same so I felt comfortable . We started the class by presenting ourselves to the teacher . Our new teacher is teacher (HANDSOME) as he called himself . He told us how he is going to teach us . Accually I felt excited . Specially when he said that we 'll study online ,too. That was on Sunday .
Today , we started the class with The Yemen Peace Game . We had conversation about the situation in our country . After that we did the listening questions . Then , we went to the melti media to create our blogs . At the end we received the novels and the vocabularies papers .
